It is constructed entirely of 90% Platinum and 10% Irridium alloy and all parts are completely hand made. It has a finished weight of 22.2 grams of Platinum. The center piece is an incredible 1.19 ct 6.15 mm round Russian Demantoid set in a hand chased scrolled bezel. This gem has fine color, brilliance and beautiful horse tail inclusions that are visible only under strong magnification and are solid proof of its Ural Mountains origin. The balance of this stunning piece is Pave' set with 1.25 carats of clean white Diamonds and... 3.65 carats of brilliant Diamond and trillion cut Russian Demantoids. Brilliant is a complete understatement when describing this brooch. It is dazzling even in low light conditions and in sunlight..... it throws of sparks of every color you can imagine. We were unable to capture some of the multicolor dispersion until we decided to take a photo slightly out of focus. Although it has tons more multi-color spectral fire than shown in that photo, it will give you an idea as to the incredible brilliance. The bail folds back so this piece so it can be worn as a Pin / Brooch or as a Pendant.
