Note: This gem is a rare, old mine (original discovery area) Russian Demantoid Garnet. This stone has many well formed classic "horsetail" inclusions. The interior of this gem is a virtual gemological garden!

This is a older crudely fashioned stone and was cut not for brightness but to frame the rare inclusions. Also the numerous horsetail inclusions have blocked most of the light return.

Great for collectors and a wonderful stone for gemology studies!
